City of Jackson now accepting applications for its 4th session of Neighborhood Academy

Jackson, Tenn. – The City of Jackson, TN has officially opened applications for the 4th session of Neighborhood Academy, a seven-month program for the City of Jackson residents.
Participants will meet twice a month and each meeting will focus on different areas of local government and how residents can participate in city processes. It will serve as a way to build trust and empower residents to influence city decisions, programs, and policies. By the end, new neighborhood champions across the city will know how to effect change.
Neighborhood Academy will begin in April which comprises two two-hour sessions per month until October when the closing session and graduation will take place.
The meetings will be on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. The preference of the majority of our applicants will determine the time. Applicants must attend eight of the ten sessions to complete the program.
